Montgomery County Court System Converts to Online Filing
At 8:00 AM on Monday, October 25, 2021, the Montgomery County Court System will go online. Thus, as of October 25th, all filings in (1) the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland and (2) the District Court for Montgomery County, Maryland will be required to be filed online through the Maryland Electronic Courts System (“MDEC”). Due to this conversion, the Circuit Court and District Court (Rockville and Silver Spring) will both be closed to the public on Monday, October 25, 2021. Filings and pleadings will still be accepted through the MDEC System in both courts however.
Attorneys and Self-Represented Litigants can review the information regarding Montgomery County’s MDEC Filing System through the Court’s Brochure on the change.
