Longman & Van Grack Attorney Elected Chair of Maryland State Bar Association’s Tax Section
Today, Longman & Van Grack Attorney Robb Longman was elected Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s (MSBA) Tax Section at the MSBA’s Annual Meeting in Ocean City, Maryland. The Firm is thrilled that Robb is being recognized for his many years of working on tax issues in Maryland, and we are proud to have Robb head our Tax Law Practice.
Robb’s extensive background in tax law provides him with the ability to advise his clients not just on the corporate matters but the tax effects of those matters as well. Robb has successfully represented many business, individuals, and non-profits before the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing agencies. Robb represents his clients in tax audits, in the United States Tax Court, the Maryland Tax Court, and Robb regularly assists his clients in resolving outstanding tax debts. Robb also works with his client to help them plan for their future. With his extensive knowledge of the tax laws, Robb works with his client to ensure that their estate plans are set up so they can take advantage of estate deductions; protecting their funds while passing the most of it to their families.
The MSBA Taxation Section works to further the mutual interest of MSBA members concerned with the law relating to taxes through stimulating the interest of MSBA members and informing them in the law concerning Maryland and Federal taxation; studying proposed improvements and reforms in such laws through legislation and otherwise; and generally promoting the interests and welfare of Bar members and the public in the areas of taxation.
