Longman & Van Grack Welcomes Julian Haffner as Of Counsel
We are proud to announce a new addition to Longman & Van Grack’s business law, business litigation, employment law, sports law, and government relations practices in Maryland. Maryland business attorney Julian A. Haffner has joined Longman & Van Grack as Of Counsel.

With over a decade of experience in business law, employment law corporate law, and government relations, Julian has worked with a wide range of businesses and individuals to successfully address his client’s complex legal problems. Specifically, Julian assists clients with forming business entities, structuring transactions, providing advice on compliance with employment law concerns, addressing commercial litigation disputes, and addressing aspects of intellectual property. Julian acts as a strategic partner for a wide spectrum of corporate and business clients, ranging from single-employee consultants to professional athletes in the NBA and NFL, to companies with hundreds of employees. In fact, Julian is the past Chairman of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Entertainment and Sports Law Section.

Julian also has significant insight to the legislative process in Maryland as he currently serves as a member of the Maryland State Democratic Central Committee, a Board Member of the Democratic Business Council of Maryland, and the Vice President of the African American Democratic Club of Montgomery County. Julian is also an active member of the nonprofit and artistic communities in Maryland and Washington, DC. Julian is currently a Board Member of City Gate, Inc., and has served on the Boards of The Judah Project and the Urban Artists Coalition. Julian is also the co-founder, Vice President and General Counsel for Mighty Mizizi Music Company an administrative music publishing entity serving the needs of independent songwriters and publishers.
Prior to coming to Longman & Van Grack, Julian Haffner used his experience in business transactions to represent clients on both sides of the aisle in the areas of breach of contract litigation and debt collection. Julian has experience practicing before courts across all of Maryland.
